HOW TO GET INVOLVED
If you are new to volunteering in the schools, there are three steps to volunteering listed below. The steps are: (1) Safety Training, (2) Background Check, and (3) Registration. If you have volunteered for Brunswick County Schools before, you can skip down to (3) Volunteer Registration.
1 Safety Training
Review training online (it won't take long). This training is mainly about best practices concerning being around children. Note the completion code on the last slide of the training.
2 Background Check - Good for Three Years
Pay $22 at your local elementary or online for a background check.
Click here to make payment for the background check on the Brunswick County Schools Site.
Email Tanisha Rogers at trogers@bcswan.net and provide her with the training code from the last slide of the training. You will then receive a link and a PIN to complete the background check. You'll be notified of approval or denial via email. An identification card will be mailed to the volunteer within 7-10 days upon approval. An identification card will be mailed to the volunteer within 7-10 days upon approval. An identification card will be mailed to the volunteer within 7-10 days upon approval.
